      Attempting to Schedule an AFOQT...

Hey guys, first time posting on the activity feed on BogiDope!

Currently experiencing a struggle with finding a way to schedule the AFOQT. I have called multiple recruiters (Active, ANG, and AFRC) and stated my intentions with wanting to earn a commission and ultimately compete for a UPT slot. All recruiters so far keep telling me I “need to enlist to take the AFOQT” or “they don’t hire guys off the street, but rather from inside the unit”… While I understand they need to meet quotas and hire enlisted, I can’t help but feel frustrated about the obvious misinformation being given to me in hopes of trying to recruit me for enlisted. Any tips or advice to overcome this roadblock to ultimately get a test scheduled? Thank you.

(For reference, I’m located in Oklahoma City, 26yo, 2 weeks from graduation with bachelors, PPL secured)

        AFOQT VOUCHER PROCESS

Regardless of whether you want to go Active Duty Air Force, Space Force, Air Force Reserves, or Air National Guard…this process has worked for several BogiDope members and we wanted to pass it along!
        1) Email an active duty recruiter or find one in your area at: http://www.airforce.com/find-a-recruiter
        a. Plug in your zip code and select “Active Duty”
        b. Refine the search to “Officer Recruiting”
        2) You will likely get an automated email outlining when there is a webinar (held on Microsoft Teams) to explain these programs.
        3) After you attend the webinar, you will fill out a pre-qualification worksheet.
        4) This should allow you to get a voucher for the AFOQT.
        5) Once voucher is obtained, go to any Pearson Vue testing center around the country
        a. http://www.pearsonvue.com/us/eng/afoqt.html
Taking the TBAS will still require contact with a military base testing center or ROTC detachment.
