Fighters are the “tip of the spear” to most but we cannot fully operate to our potential without the support of tankers, cargo, and the airmen on the ground. Another mission that most don’t think about is Rescue. What happens when worst case an aircraft goes down in combat or even training. Rescue units are critical into bringing folks ho,e from not even combat but in day to day life. It is very important not to forget about these units when budgets come into question.
