If you want to see what the apex of the trajectory that BD can put you on, look no further than Maj Nicole Ayers. A USAFA 2011 graduate, D1 athlete, Raptor instructor, and now astronaut. She arrived at the ISS this past week on the Crew Dragon from SpaceX. A great example of interagency coordination, led by an impressive crew. The lesson here is this: US military aviation can take you from zero to astronaut with tenacity and hard work.
