Politics aside, the proposed 1 Trillion USD 2026 DOD budget could bring a ton of aviation forward. And for our aspiring aviators there’s nothing like joining a service that is expanding. While it’s unclear what Gen Caine’s priorities are going to be some things that we might see:
– More F-15EX buys
– Accelerated development of the F-47
– Accelerated development of the F-35 Block IV
– Accelerated deployment of the T-7
– More spare parts for existing aircraft.
While all of those are certainly cool; getting more spare parts to the field (thereby improving aircraft availability) could have a rapid and positive effect on the pipeline. So while I love my sexy 6th gen death machine…what I really need is just a mundane stack of spare jet parts.
