So, we’ve settled on a name for the new IPT+T6 construct… maybe. Future UPT (I’m not sure what happens when the future is now, but I digress). See the article below.

AETC has been converging on this product (albeit slowly) for some time, so I think it probably represents the next decade. For the fighter folks, expect FUPT + the FBF (T-38s + IFF), and for the lift folks, FUPT + AMF (T-1 sims).

Sounds like the T-7 will be a one-for-one replacement for the ‘38….I think you’ll start seeing the T-7 FBF course in 3-5 years.
