Your Flying Class One Physical (FC1) is done at Wright-Patt AFB in Dayton, OH to determine if you are “fit to fly” by the USAF standards. The FC1 color vision exam is done on a laptop with what looks like a video game controller. The computer exam measures your blue, red and green color vision independently. There will be images that pop up of a “C” thats hard to see since it blends in with the background and you have to use the controller to denote what way the opening of the letter C is facing by clicking the D-pad on the controller. Your results are based on if you got it correct and how quickly you were able to determine the answer. The FC1 evaluation is much more in depth.
