It was a Saturday and Sunday interview process. On Saturday they took us out to the range and we were able to watch the Hogs in action practicing strafing runs, firing rockets and show of force exercises. Afterwards we got an up close look at the A-10 and then we had a cookout and mingled with the pilots/other candidates. Sunday is when all of the interviews took place, there were 13 of us total and interviews lasted approximately 30 minutes. While we had down time, some of the other pilots took us into the sims to experience flying the A-10. When we weren't at the sims or interviewing, we were chatting with the pilots and other candidates. We received the results just over a week later.

1. Tell me about yourself
2. Why has it taken you so long to finish your PPL?
3. Tell me about a defining moment in your life, positive or negative.
4. You are a wingman leaving the MOA w/ your flight lead. ATIS and tower tell you to land on runway 36. Your flight lead is set up to land runway 18. What do you do?
5. You can invite 3 people (dead or alive) to a dinner that you're cooking. Who are you inviting and what are you making?
6. Pointed to a logo on their patch and asked if I knew what it was. Then they asked me to share about the history of the 76th FS.
7. If you get selected at this unit or the next unit whose hiring board you're going to. Which one would you choose to go to?
8. We will eventually transition to the F-35. Would you rather receive orders to go to the F-35 B course and go out on loan to a unit until we get our jets or go to the A-10 B course (if it is still open) and have to go to a TX course shortly afterwards?
9. If we lose our jets completely while you are in UPT and there are no more reserve fighter slots, how do you react to that?
10. If you are here and we lose fighters altogether and the only airframe here is the C-130, what will you do?
11. Where do you see yourself in 20-30 years?

Just relax when interviewing, in my opinion, they did not attempt to trick us with any questions and really took the time to get to know everyone there.
