Visited the Combat Air Museum in Topeka, KS yesterday. I’m out here for an IFR course, but couldn’t resist the opportunity to see some birds of yesteryear.

Letter of recommendation question: When uploading LoRs to apply to a squadron, is it proper to change the date to align with the timeframe in which you are applying, or do you leave the date as it was originally written? I have some LoRs with dates back to 2023, and wasn’t sure if the hiring board would think it’s “outdated”.

@Allen this is a great question. I would seek to get new ones at least once per year, but it depends on who it is and their background. Will they update it for you?

Took the AFOQT this morning, here are my takeaways:
Verbal Analogies – easier words than any of the practice tests, but difficult to find relationships between. Some analogies were comprised of simple words, like clock or door, but I couldn’t find the relationship between them (function, synonym, rhyme).
Arithmetic Reasoning – short questions,…

I haven’t taken a Barron test yet, but all of the others (including those provided by Tutor Gunboss) do not count corners that touch. First I’ve heard that to be honest.

6 months agoVintage Aviation Enthusiasts 6 months agoFagen Fighters WWII museum in Granite Falls, MN. New Navy hangar along with their Army Air Corps (Air Force) hangar displays. Of all military aviation museums, this is the one worth going back to (I’ve visited four times thus far).
