• Have had trouble contacting a recruiter for the last 3 months to try to set up AFOQT. Even reached out on airforce website and told me someone would be in contact with me and nothing from that. Does anyone have any tips or somehow know of a National recruiter than can help? Thanks!

What I ended up doing was contacting my local air guard unit to receive a voucher to…

I continued to call my State’s Officer Recruiter Office, give them updates (Graduated College, got mor flight hours, etc.) as a way to keep in touch and show them that I am very serious and not a waste… Read more

      • Need some quick advice. I’ve been studying for AFOQT and just learning more about flying. A few days ago my local fighter unit posted an opening but all docs and flight hours are due by April 4th.

        • You still have some time to get some flight hours in before you apply. That’s what I would do. Most other applicants who get selected for an interview with have a PPL at a minimum. I guard slots are very competitive these days. I would give it my best shot, and hope for at least an interview. That way you can at least practice for next time

Hey cgiff, If you don’t mind me asking did you need any waivers to pass through meps? Also did you know you wouldn’t pass the FC1 without the surgery before you got hired ? Asking because I have -4.25 and -5.00 astigmatism. I believe that’s the max allowable to get a waiver for prk/LASIK. Also pretty sure I wouldn’t even get passed meps without a waiver.
