Hey Anthony!
You are not too old for pilot training yet. The Air Force requires candidates to begin pilot training prior to your 33d Birthday. However, there are waivers available for older candidates as well. Are you an officer or enlisted? If you already have your commission, this would help tremendously as AFRC could skip having to send you…

Definitely not! Guard/Reserve units see having a PPL as a sign that #1 you have the willingness/drive/ability to accomplish something like that. And #2 having a PPL is a good way to make sure applicants are serious about flying, and have potential to do well as an Air Force pilot.

BD! Check thid article out about the FALCO testing on the A-10! Maybe this will be the mission that keeps the hawg around for the next 20 years! Either way, it is awesome technology and relavent to today’s mission.
