The community is so small.
If I could have given one piece of advise to myself as a young aviator its this: the community is very very small.
While there are 10K-ish pilots in the USAF you tend to work day to day with similar types (fighter-fighter, airlift-airlift). and you tend to work with your same year group +/- 2 years. In my year…

Things to keep in mind, UPT slots and upgrades (to instructor pilot, mission/aircraft commander, etc.) are the most precious thing a squadron can bestow. …

Does it ever get old? Does it ever get easy?
No.
Flew the mighty Viper yesterday on a local single ship pilot proficiency and currencies flight – landings, off station approaches, IFR/VFR procedures. Sorties where it’s just you and the chariot is rare – most of our training focuses on employing the weapons system as a team – and so yesterday…

Resilience: Pushing through the FC-1 waiver process speaks volumes.
-
Service-oriented: Enlisting shows commitment and sacrifice.

Was a fighter squadron hire back in 2020, failed my FC1 due to faulty test. Faught this decision like a bat out of hell and successfully overturned the decision in 2024. Re-enlisted with the squadron I originally…

Top Secret Clearance Employment History
For those of you who have filled out a sf-86.
My question is how did you fill out the contact information for previous supervisors if you can’t get this information. I have held multiple part time jobs through out a 10-year time span. I tried contacting my previous employers, but they are not willing to disclose any information about my supervisors.
