IHC_NoleFor your local unit, start talking to every pilot you interact with and go out of your way to find time in the squadron. They’ll vector you at the hiring POC and start to keep a mental note on you. Also find the first pilot in your chain of command and let that person know you are interested.

Gotta Have Thud Ridge!
I love this book because it really captures the crazy, catch-22 aspects of being a tiny part of a huge war machine. The “I can’t believe we’re doing this” moments are timeless.
