I had a similar experience in UPT. We had a dude with like 2,000+ hours, MEII. And he was good in (ahem) T-37s, but could not handle the T-38 and actually dropped out (before washing out). It was crazy to see how little total hours mattered in the end.

I have a love/hate relationship with the AC-130. Because when you show up in the CAS stack and they AC-130 is on station. You’re not getting any of the fun stuff. Sure, go look at this road and report, mabye keep and eye on the LZ but nothing important. Because it’s got all that way handled.

The rumors when I’m at my airline job is that they want to push it from 65 to 67 so a pretty small change. There’s precedent for it, in 2007 the age went from 60 to 65.
While the overall effect won’t be huge. It’s generally considered a ‘bad deal’ for the young pilots because it causes a two year plateau when seniority doesn’t move much. But…

The ink is dry on a new lot of 15 KC-46’s. According to the article there’s 89 of them flying already and I know we’re seeing them in the AR track pretty regularly. It’s a great jet to take gas from and the 767 is a type rating you can’t beat. Just watch out for that stiff…
