Hi Edward,
Based off of everything in the current climate it is never too early to apply. I would highly recommend applying when and where you can for what MDS/career you want. One way to help out, and some units require it, if you don’t have a degree yet get a memo written and have your college advisor or dean sign it saying you have intent to…

Congress Asks ICAO to Increase Pilot Retirement Age
I feel like the other option is that guys would still jump ship but the regionals might be a thing again… I just don’t think life in the Air Force is good enough to stick around, even if the prospects on the outside aren’t as good. I think the AF always thinks money is the big thing preventing people from staying, but I think the biggest…

USAR Aviation/AD to USAR Questions
That is good to hear. My dream airframe is the 64 and that’s why I’m been pursuing the guard more. I wish the reserve had them. I can’t seem to get a good definitive answer on which way is better the guard or reserve. Can you give me your honest opinion on why the reserve is better? Which one has better benefits? How does unit selections work?

USAR Aviation/AD to USAR Questions
Definitely unit dependent on how they do accessions. I’m probably biased, but I think the reserve does a pretty good job hiring based on merit and potential. Obviously having a reputation good or bad with people in the unit can affect the decision. If the recruiter you’re working with isn’t making it happen for you, find a new one. If you…
