Thank you. I’m hoping that is the case. I have read that sometimes a waiver can take a year. I hoping they are will to wait. What makes me nervous is that most units hire alternates and they will just go with them instead.

From what I have seen in my enlisted Guard time as aircrew, yes they can fight for you. Although it is not guaranteed and it really depends on the unit, they will stick their neck out for you if they see you as an overall great candidate.
