You can really start rushing anytime. It doesn’t hurt to reach out to units and ask about visiting or when they’re holding a rush event, as for applying, I’ve heard guys apply even if they don’t have a complete packet (degree complete, AFOQT scores, etc) that way they see your name and know you’re interested. How can I make my application more competitive
From what I’ve heard it’s important to have your cover letter, transcripts, test scores, fitness info, previous military service, LORs, a resume with: extracurriculars, volunteer service, degree info, but what else would a hiring board like to see on applications??

For context I’m an enlisted member in the COANG going for a fighter slot and I’ve been looking at a couple units but I know that for a lot of them you have to have 90 credit hours completed in your degree but I was curious to see if anyone knows if I can still put my name in the hat for applications to start building connections.

I got my TBAS scheduled at the FE Warren education center and the local ANG recruiting office can bring me on base for it! Way easier and everyone was way more helpful than in Denver. Thanks all for the help!

Some units will have requirements that you have 90 credit hours completed however if you’re unsure, reach out to them and see what you can work out!

I was an AFROTC cadet at CU Boulder, and they schedule their tests through the education office in the springs or at FE Warren.
