An Extra Hour

Unless you live in Arizona, you likely get an extra hour today. While most people are using the end of Daylight Saving Time to catch up on sleep, I implore each of you to seriously consider how best to utilize your additional 60 minutes. That hour could be the difference between being hired...or not.

Here are a few different ideas of how to make the most of your bonus hour to keep working towards your goals:

  1. Knock out one study block - get a practice AFOQT done, sharpen your TBAS spatial reasoning skills, or physically write down an answer to a potential interview question--then memorize it.
  2. Refine your resume - A resume is a living breathing document of all you have accomplished. If you aren't updating it weekly with your flight hours, volunteer experience, new accolades or leadership roles--you are wrong.
  3. Take a practice PT test. You likely know that the physical fitness test has changed and the scoring system has also changed to be a bit more difficult to attain a perfect score. Beat your own score. Can you get from a 85% to a 90%? Are any of you able to score a 100% with the new 2 mile time charts?

Don't let the extra time today slip away. Use it to out-work your competition. How will you use your hour?
