Anyone Know Any RPA Pilots or RPA Pilots Active Here?
Wanted to know if I could pick there bring. There isn't a ton of info about Guard or Reserve RPA life at all. Strongly considering it as a career due to age. I thought awhile back there was an RPA Pilot but haven't found one here. If anyone knows one, maybe you can help get me in touch?

Yeah man, I would take a hard look at it.
Best hiring gouge is on MilRecruiter - TX, IN, NY, and ND are all hiring URT candidates right now, so there are actual doors open.
And I would not think at RPA as a backup plan. Every time I was doing something important downrange, I have had one (or more) MQs on my team. As a FAC(A), they are part of my starting lineup in a CAS fight. Persistent ISR, a huge SA picture, comms relay, weapons—those folks can be absolutely decisive.
It is obviously a different life than being in a manned jet, but it is very real combat aviation. Especially with age in the equation, it may be one of the better ways to get into a meaningful Guard/Reserve flying career without spending years trying to force a door that may not open.
Husky Understood. I don't necessarily mean to think of RPA as a back up plan. More of just at this point which ever CSO, ABM or RPA unit hires me that's what I go with. I was hired as CSO twice but J-Models killed the first job and medical issues the second (though I can reapply).
Just wanted more perspective on the missions and lifestyle.
