Hard to Kill!
A-10s have been impossible to kill. Whether you are an enemy on the ground or a US Congressman, killing the A-10 has proved to be next to impossible.
Congress is now pushing a bill forward to keep the A-10 funded through 2033 and based on some of the clauses in the bill, they are serious this time.
For example, not only does the Air Force need to find a viable replacement prior to divesting the A-10 but the defense secretary would have to get approval of the replacement platform in writing from the Army secretary, the Marine Corps commandant and the head of U.S. Special Operations Command!
In addition, the AF will need to present Congress with a plan to turn depot, the FTU and the Weapon School back on!

Based on how hard the Hawg was to kill before Epic Fury, it will be almost impossible to kill politically after multiple CSAR/RMC saves in Iran. Pure conjecture, but based on the thrash happening with F-16s in Korea and the extra life the Hawg just bought, it's not impossible that the 190th FS out of Boise stay with the Hawg for a few more years. Another possibility for an ANG UPT spot!
