No Such Thing as Dumb Questions

BD Fam,

Several times during prep sessions/webinars I have heard some questions start with: "So I think this may be obvious, but...". As I thought about the times I have prepped for applications/interviews, I remember feeling hesitant to ask questions that seem to have an "obvious" answer or an answer I should already know. It took a while to realize that the questions generated by my brain were likely also questions someone else had, but never asked.
Fast-forward several years to Smack as a punk wingman with many questions. Every flight brief ended the same way: "Do you have any questions?" And I walked out of the brief with (what I thought) several dumb unanswered questions. Inevitably, I messed those things up airborne and was asked in th debrief: "Any questions from the brief?" I got the courage to finally admit I had questions, and then was subsequently CRUSHED for not asking them prior to flying.
It's the same for getting into the aviation game: if you have questions, ask them! No such thing as dumb questions when the implications are great!

So, what's an "obvious" question you have for the group that everyone may benefit from?

Hey Smack, when you were in the process of sending out applications to guard units, how did you spend your time while you were waiting to hear back? Did you feel like there was a lot to prepare for or was it pretty uneventful leading up to rush or interview invites?
