I'd love to hear from the BogiDope community today. What wins did you experience this past week?

The kids all started school this week, so last week we did our best to soak up the last bits of summer. We had the opportunity to spend some time at the beach (bragging) and it just so happened that several of the local ANG aircraft were flying by. I suppose it wasn't "my" success since I was earthbound admiring the jets flying overhead...but it was a moment of pride knowing that I had been a part of something so great for so many years!

Slowly but surely making progress on studying for the AFOQT, especially for the Pilot, Math and Verbal Sections. I've been finding time during work, lunch breaks, and rest of the day after work to study and certain things I've been weak at are starting to click together.

dezaund.fields That's awesome. Do you have access to practice tests? Whenever I've been faced with a "standardized test" or something aviation related...I just do practice tests until I can consistently get the score I want. Practice, practice, practice! Thanks for the input.

I do! I've got a lot from AFOQT Guide, Barrons, and Trivium, but I've used them up to prepare for the first attempt. I'm trying to look for new ones to practice with.

I got picked up for an Active Duty pilot slot! It still feels like it is some dream I haven't woken up from lol

Longshot That is absolutely incredible, congratulations! Do you know your timeline yet for MEPS/FC1/IPT? Any significant lessons learned from the process. I bet you're having a great week, something to celebrate for sure!

SMAX Lessons learned: For those who are trying, just don't give up! I was not having much luck with the guard, and I was prior active duty so I gave it a shot not expecting much. Turns out luck was on my side. I go to MEPS on the 24th but not too sure what the timeline looks like after that. Just beyond ready to jump into it!

I retook my AFOQT and increased my scores significantly and passed the verbal with the help of GunBoss as well as get a 99 on the pilot section! Next step is to take the TBAS on the 21st and hopefully obtain a 90+ there!

I took my first AFOQT attempt :)

Montana Any scores back yet? How'd you feel about it?

CHAOS 98 Pilot, high 80s-90s for the rest. The only thing I used was AFOQT Wingman, so HIGHLY recommend. I'm not happy about that last missing pilot point because I'm pretty sure I know exactly what cost me it, but I can't be too upset

Montana Nice! Those scores should get you well on your way to interviews in the near future. Ha can't fault you for being a perfectionist, but call those scores a huge win!
