Lastly you might investigate if there is any prohibition on attending in leave status. Or if your commander can grant a special pass

Another Bogidope Fighter Pilot!
Congratulations to a Bogidoper (who prefers to signature manage) who is off to fly viper shaped death machines at an undisclosed unit.
John Doe was and alternate that stayed connected to the unit and got the call when that squadron got a fallout upt slot.
Congratulations! Way to stay in the fight!

Usually Air National Guard HQ tells a unit hey you get 1 UPT slot.
But sometimes six months later HQ calls and says “hey do you have anyone who can go to UPT? The candidate from unit X can’t pass the medical and they don’t have a backup.”
At that moment the called unit has a very short amount of time to provide a name or HQ will call the next…

Kyle, keep up the hard work! Yes, a recruiter should (as long as you are degree-complete) help you get scheduled for testing locally. It should not matter if you are their recruit or not and should have the best information pertaining to testing sites.

Thanks for all these tips! I’m actually on MPA at the moment and leadership says PTDY doesn’t align with the contingency. And I’m not given any drill days because I’m “constructively present” under my full time MPA and don’t have breaks.
I have AT but my WG/CC denied travel funds with it because my sponsoring unit should be funding the trip…

Initial first class. I guess that’s what my initial pilot physical is called at wright Patterson when I don’t have another flight physical on file.
