Drone warfare is a huge part of the Ukraine and Russian war. F-16s have been operating in Ukraine for a while now but here is an article about them intercepting and shooting down an unspecified target. Really interesting to see in action.

So to answer your first question yes and no. Once selected for an OTS pilot slot you’ll wait for your dates to go through OTS. That timeframe really depends on what classes are going on and unfortunately with the the many changes in the past years I don’t have an exact time, best to talk to your recruiter who got you into the OTS.…
