Like everyone else has said here, do most of the “admin” leg work for the person writing the recommendation. Having the information sent to you in an editable format is very important.
At the end of the day, making things as easy as possible for those supporting you so that you can use the information as needed or for multiple applications.

aidan-rachael I agree with Smack. I would say to always err on the side of caution if there is ever a question. Additionally, when conducting a “Zoom” meeting, be mindful of your background and other distractions such as dogs barking, loud noises, etc.

I did both UPT and FTU with wife/kids. Actually had 2 of them during the formal courses. My experience was between 2013 and 2014. Here are some of my biggest takeaways:

Do you have any anecdotes of how those with wife and kids handled it? More specifically, I would like to spend time with the boys camping etc. on the weekends to strengthen those bonds but my thought is I would need to forego a few extra-curricular/recreational trips to be with wife/kid. Presumably there is a balance to be struck.
