For any ROTC graduates or those currently in/interested in the ROTC pathway, check out the new ROTC group we just created to help you network and get your questions answered. 🍻

Welcome to the new BogiDope ROTC group! This is one of the most common paths to earning an active duty pilot slot and, more recently, an attractive path to a Guard/Reserve pilot slot. We hope that by combining the ROTC vets with those currently in/interested in the ROTC path, more wisdom can be shared to help the community. Enjoy!

I would like to hear more clients and coaches perspectives on this opportunity. Finding a Guard or Reserve UPT Slot while enrolled in AFROTC seems to be a very good deal for some!

USAFA- 44%
ROTC-48%
OTS- 8%
This changes from year to year, but you can see the lions share of slots go to the Academy and ROTC units.

Get all the appointments done prior to your first application window,…

Sean,
Awesome to have you. Sounds like you have a decent plan. As far as your rushing different squadrons, you may want to expand your horizons when you get closer to the date. As you will find, once you have a good AFOQT score, and a good combined PCSM score, you may rush several units before you get an interview.Remember that you won’t need…

Hey team!
My name is Sean Lucas, I’m 25 y/o and currently an active duty O-2 Supply Corps Officer for the Navy.
I have about a year out until my resignation. Currently stationed in Pax River, Maryland, but just got selected to go IA to Kuwait for 7 months (definitely wasn’t in the calculations lol), but won’t let that throw me off too much..
After…

And most importantly, stay the course! You can only control what you can control. Keep rushing, applying, studying, grinding! The jobs will still be out there. Be ready when they drop and be the best version of yourself when they do.
