The scramble takeoffs are awesome it feels like stealing.
Lightweight, Max AB. You have to raise the gear right at 190 knots or you’ll blow through 300 in the 15” it takes to retract.

What does it hold? I don’t know, and neither does this USAF. But here’s what it thinks (attached).
Highlights:
-Overhauling a fleet while complying with the 23 FRA and rising personnel costs is tough.
-4 fighters go forward…and CCA….and multiple versions on the F-15….and only after NGAD and CCA come along.

I am concurrently pursuing a lay transfer to Naval Aviation or a conditional release to ANG, AF Reserves, SC NG, and Active Army to compete for a pilot slot. With guard numbers being cut, and Reserve slots being hard to come by at times, I may end up putting in for a Warrant… Read more

Definitely agree. But it’s frustrating to think about what the next year or two looks like if you were preparing to apply to this board or next years. I’m curious to see how many people shift gears from ANG route and figure out another route.

Letting off the gas is the worst thing you can do. MAKE THEM TELL YOU NO (and then chase a waiver)!
