You can absolutely go P8s to ANG. In fact, you could probably walk right into the 201st airlift squadron (DV 737s in DC). With a short course, you could fly any ANG heavy.
Jump onto milrecruiter, check the box “hiring rated,” and start calling hiring POCs (pilots).
If there’s a unit you like that isn’t hiring, call them…

Hoping someone might be able to help me out with this question. I’m currently an Active Duty Navy P-8 pilot and researching some options for Guard units. I’ve emailed a few recruiters and I’m 3/3 on them telling me I’d apply for the UPT board instead of the Rated boards. Does that jive with everyone else’s experience? Thanks for any insight…
